Boots aid everyone in locomotion. Tactical boots aid law enforcement agents in faster locomotion in tough, risky, or hostile terrains. Semi-rigid boots of various types with extra ankle support are available for mountaineers. Tactical boots meant for sports people have more color choices and have separate patterns for men and women.
Tactical boots are as much necessary for travelers, explorers, hunters, and sportsmen, as they are necessary for police. But tactical boots, like other tactical gear, have always been more important in the context of police and army, because as law enforcement agents, they are responsible not just for their own lives but for the lives of others as well.
