Boot making is an art as well as a science. Boots are built for the rugged, the restless, and for relentless professionals. Magnum boots carved a niche in the boot market by using the latest boot manufacturing technology and innovative materials. For the last twenty eight years the FBI has been using Magnum Boots at their training facility in Quantico Virginia.
 The choice to use a lightweight, athletically designed tactical type boot was a no-brainer for this elite force of law enforcement experts. Designing and Developing a tactical boot that felt like an athletic shoe came naturally to HI-Tec, the parent company, but it was a daring endeavor since the boot market at that time was filled with ridged work boots that were constructed using the welt-compo manufacturing system which meant they were not waterproof, flexible or comfortable. Other shoe manufacturers were beginning to shift to the injected molded boot making process, which gave the boots more flexibility, but waterproofing a leather upper was still being tested by tanneries in the US.
The design team at Magnum Boots solved the waterproofing issue by using materials that repelled water on the upper and by treating upper seams with a waterproofing system so the feet stayed dry in any kind of weather. Magnum Boots continued to fine tune their manufacturing techniques and material choices and introduced several new styles in their men’s and women’s tactical boot line. Different styles helped fill the requirements of law enforcement, fire, and emergency personnel around the world.
In 1990 the first global Magnum Boot collection was introduced and the response was overwhelming because the collection conformed to a variety of uniform requirements, style tastes, functionality requirements, and flexibility and comfort issues.
Magnum, the tactical footwear company, officially became its own brand in 2002 and in 2003 the Magnum brand introduced the Elite Force Series which targeted highly trained officers who demanded the best materials, workmanship, comfort, and versatility that money could buy. The Elite Force Series is now the most progressive line of tactical footwear in the industry.
Magnum Boots has never been a brand that rests on yesterday accomplishments so they introduced the Stealth in 2006 and it is now the number one selling uniform boot in the world. Professionals claim it is built like a battleship, but it still has the comfort of a well-built running shoe.
In 2009 Magnum Boots introduce the Ion-Mask technology which repels and protects soldiers from chemical attacks.
